Medical Pedicure

This is our gold standard treatment.  Let us pamper your feet while you sit back and relax. Your nails will be cut, shaped and buffed, dealing with any thick or unsightly nails in the process.  All of that hard/unsightly skin will be removed, followed by a soothing warm wax treatment and a relaxing foot rub, leaving your feet feeling and looking like new.

Verrucae Needling

Verrucaes can be painful and unsightly.  Over the counter treatments are often messy to use and ineffective.  This procedure is painlessly carried out under local anaesthesia and recent research has shown up to 69% success rate with only one treatment.

All patients must first attend for an assessment appointment.

Sports/Musculoskeletal Podiatry

Paediatric Musculoskeletal Assessment (Under 16)

Is your child complaining of foot pain?  Pain in children is not normal, and should be investigated.  We have an experienced specialist Paediatric Podiatrist who will clearly explain what is causing your child's pain and tailor a personalised treatment plan for their condition.

Musculoskeletal Assessment

This appointment type is aimed at non sport related musculoskeletal injuries. The appointment will start with a thorough history taking, including a full medical history, discussion of your current activity and specific information regarding the presenting problem.

Following the history taking you will be taken through a series of specific tests to diagnose your injury. Your diagnosis will then be clearly explained to you, and a treatment plan will be tailored for your specific problem.

Sports Assessment

An in-depth assessment of any injury related to sport.

The appointment will start with a thorough history taking, including a full medical history, discussion of your current training regime, current/future goals, and specific information regarding the presenting problem.

You will then be taken through a series of specific, functional and dynamic tests to highlight areas where there is either a restriction in joint motion or a lack of muscle strength.  Where indicated, gait analysis will be performed.

This can consist of a basic visual assessment of the way you walk or run through to more detailed video analysis.

Following the assessment, a treatment plan, tailored to your specific needs will be agreed and explained to you in full.

Runner’s MOT

This is an in depth running specific assessment designed for clients who are new to running or for the non-injured runner who is considering either an increase in mileage or intensity in training.

The appointment will start with a thorough history taking, including a full medical and injury history, discussion of your current training schedules and current and future goals.

You will then be taken through a series of running specific, functional and dynamic tests to highlight areas where there is either a restriction in joint motion or a lack of muscle strength.  Video gait analysis will then be carried out. There is a normal posture for the feet, knees, hips and back at any point of the running cycle and video gait analysis enables us to study any abnormal movements of both muscles and joints as the body moves.

You will be able to see for yourself how you run, helping you to understand your particular problems, why they exist and how they can be treated and prevented.  Following the assessment recommendations will be made with regard to footwear choice and strengthening and stretching exercise program.

Where appropriate, referral to physiotherapists, sports doctors or running coaches/personal trainers will be made.

We offer custom made orthoses that are made specifically to the exact requirements of your condition made by a leading UK laboratory.
