Sports/Musculoskeletal Podiatry and Orthotics
This appointment type is aimed at non sport related musculoskeletal injuries. The appointment will start with a thorough history taking, including a full medical history, discussion of your current activity and specific information regarding the presenting problem.
Following the history taking you will be taken through a series of specific tests to diagnose your injury. Your diagnosis will then be clearly explained to you, and a treatment plan will be tailored for your specific problem.
An in-depth assessment of any injury related to sport.
The appointment will start with a thorough history taking, including a full medical history, discussion of your current training regime, current/future goals, and specific information regarding the presenting problem.
You will then be taken through a series of specific, functional and dynamic tests to highlight areas where there is either a restriction in joint motion or a lack of muscle strength. Where indicated, 2D video gait analysis will be performed.
This can consist of a basic visual assessment of the way you walk or run through to more detailed video analysis.
Following the assessment, a treatment plan, tailored to your specific needs will be agreed and explained to you in full.
Suitable for individuals with musculoskeletal conditions who have been referred to us for gait analysis by another healthcare professional, who has already carried out their own clinical examination of their patient.
The assessment includes a medical history to discuss any musculoskeletal issues, your activity levels/training and your general health. This is followed by an objective 3D gait analysis of you walking/running on the treadmill.
You will receive a detailed written report of your running gait, identifying biomechanical issues, asymmetries and performance indicators, which will be discussed with you and shared with your therapist.
If appropriate, a rehabilitation programme to address any issues identified will be recommended.

This is followed by a detailed and objective musculoskeletal assessment of your strength, flexibility, motor-control and stability.
You will then be taken through a state-of-the-art 3D gait analysis of you walking/running on the treadmill.
You will receive a detailed written report of your running gait and musculoskeletal function, identifying biomechanical issues, musculoskeletal deficits, asymmetries and performance indicators, which will be discussed with you.
The results will be used to provide you with evidence-based recommendations, which might include exercise therapy, further treatment and gait retraining.

Functional foot orthoses are very effective in improving foot function and reducing stress on painful structures. ‘Total contact’ orthoses redistribute pressure over the entire foot, eliminating pressure points and reducing the possibility of tissue breakdown, thereby increasing comfort and mobility. ‘Total contact’ insoles are used extensively in patients with Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and are very effective in treating painful corns and callus. We offer custom made orthoses that are made specifically to the exact requirements of your condition made by a leading UK laboratory.
Foot orthoses are specialised medical insoles which are accommodated in your footwear. All patients must first attend an initial routine Podiatry assessment appointment/treatment.
This is our gold standard routine Podiatry treatment. Let us pamper your feet while you sit back and relax. Your nails will be cut, shaped and buffed, dealing with any thick or unsightly nails in the process. All of that hard/unsightly skin will be removed, followed by a soothing warm wax treatment and a relaxing foot rub, leaving your feet feeling and looking like new.
Ingrowing toenails are painful and often become infected. If regular, conservative treatment fails, then this minor surgical procedure, carried out by our expert Podiatrists, can cure your problem for ever.
